The standard size, which provides a comfortable fit for most individuals, has an inner diameter of approximately 8mm but depending on the location of your piercing and the shape & size of your earlobe you might need a different size.

To find the minimum diameter you need for your personal earrings, measure from your piercing hole to the lower end of your earlobe. Decide whether you want a snug fit or if you prefer to leave some space between earlobe and earring.
